Steps:
1- After tubing or hose has been connected to adapters
1 and
12 , install O-Rings
2 and
11 - on adapters- Be sure O-Rings are not twisted-
2- Oil O-Rings
2 liberally with system fluid to prevent them from scuffing and tearing when coupling body is threaded on adapter-
3- S2 Half—Lubricate poppet face with system fluid- Insert poppet valve assembly
3 into body
4 - Tighten body 4 on adapter 1 - After body and adapter make metal-to-metal contact, tighten by rotating body
4 1/8” with respect to adapter
1 or torque per table value-
S5 Half—Oil O-Ring 9 - liberally with system fluid- Insert valve and sleeve assembly 10 into body
8 - Tighten body
on adapter
12 - After body and adapter make met-al-to-metal contact, tighten by rotating body 8 1/8” with respect to adapter

4- Coupling Connection—Lubricate gasket seal
5 on 5400-S2 half with system fluid- Thread union nut
on 5400-S2 half- Tighten union nut to torque values shown in table- Be sure S2 and S5 bodies do not rotate during connection-

1.底層基礎設施性能的不斷提升帶來數(shù)據(jù)中心能耗的顯著增加。目前,高性能計算處理器單機熱負荷已達到一般處理器的2倍以上,單機柜整體功耗已經(jīng)翻倍,且數(shù)據(jù)中心的體量亦在與日俱增,高能耗已經(jīng)成為一個亟待解決的問題。
2.電子器件功率和封裝密度引發(fā)熱流密度的急劇提升。據(jù)統(tǒng)計,失效的電子器件中有55%是由于溫度過高或不均造成的,面對高功率和高封裝帶來的前所未有的冷卻需求。
3.高效制冷成為數(shù)據(jù)中心轉型的重要環(huán)節(jié)。冷卻能耗占總能耗的40%左右,且運行過程中溫度的不斷升高會造成巨大隱患,因此提高制冷效率是高能效、高密度配置轉型的有效手段。
4.國家已經(jīng)頒布了一系列政策,旨在引導數(shù)據(jù)中心向綠色、高效的方向發(fā)展。如2020年國家發(fā)改委頒布的《關于加快構建全國一體化大數(shù)據(jù)中心協(xié)同創(chuàng)新體系的指導意見》中提到,2025年前大型數(shù)據(jù)中心PUE<1.3。這一舉措極大推動了冷卻技術的升級。
目前,數(shù)據(jù)中心主要制冷技術包括風冷、液冷、蒸發(fā)冷卻和自然冷卻,其中風冷技術雖然憑借其低成本、易維護等特性成為當前主要冷卻方式,但也存在其局限性:
1.采用集中制冷模式冷卻機架內(nèi)所有的電子器件,加之空氣的換熱系數(shù)較低,導致制冷效率低下、冷卻能耗過高。此外,冷熱空氣換熱不均勻會形成局部熱點,而為消除這些熱點又會造成過度冷卻、額外耗能。
2.需要大量的空間來放置空調(diào)、機架和送風通道,導致占用空間大、部署密度低。
3.常年不間斷的運行模式,造成天然冷源的浪費,不利于節(jié)能環(huán)保。
傳統(tǒng)風冷模式逐漸遇到瓶頸,數(shù)據(jù)中心制冷技術向精細化轉變已成必然趨勢,在此背景下,液冷技術以其高效綠色的特點引起行業(yè)的普遍關注。
二、液冷技術簡介及對比
液冷是指使用液體取代空氣作為冷媒,直接導向熱源帶走熱量的制冷技術。相較于傳統(tǒng)風冷,液冷具有顯著的優(yōu)勢:
1.液體的比熱容遠高于空氣,可以吸收大量熱而保持溫度在較小范圍內(nèi)波動,有效抑制溫度驟升,在一定程度上允許超頻工作,提升了集成度。
2.風冷制冷方式被取代,能耗迅速降低、電費支出減少,且?guī)缀趺獬凉穸取⒒覊m和振動影響,設備可靠性提升,硬件維護支出減少,同時減少了風扇的振動和噪音,基本可達到“靜音機房”效果。
根據(jù)冷卻液是否與IT設備直接接觸,可將液冷技術分為間接液冷和直接液冷。間接液冷是指發(fā)熱器件與液體冷媒之間沒有直接接觸的制冷方式,冷板式液冷是間接液冷的典型部署方式。而直接液冷采用冷卻液,通過冷卻液與發(fā)熱元件直接接觸將熱量循環(huán)帶走,其中最具代表性的就是浸沒式液冷。本文從支持性能和綜合性能兩個方面進行了空氣冷卻、冷板式間接液冷和浸沒式直接液冷的對比,詳見表1、表2。

可以看出,冷板式液冷只有大功耗發(fā)熱元件CPU)采用液冷散熱,仍需保留部分風冷裝置,且冷卻液沒有與電子元件直接接觸,散熱性能、空間利用率和節(jié)能降噪效果都不及浸沒式液冷,故本文接下來針對浸沒式液冷技術進行闡述。
三、浸沒式液冷解決方案
浸沒式液冷以液體作為傳熱介質(zhì),將發(fā)熱電子元件直接浸沒于冷卻液中,通過冷卻液與電子元件直接接觸進行熱交換帶走熱量,是一種新型高效、綠色節(jié)能的數(shù)據(jù)中心制冷解決方案。
根據(jù)冷卻液是否發(fā)生相變,浸沒式液冷分為相變浸沒式液冷和單相浸沒式液冷。相變浸沒式液冷利用冷卻液沸點低可發(fā)生沸騰相變的特性,在沸騰過程中利用潛熱吸收熱量來達到散熱的效果。而單相浸沒式液冷技術是指將電子設備完全浸沒在冷卻液中進行直接冷卻,形成封閉的導熱回路。相變浸沒式液冷主要由冷卻液、密封腔體、芯片散熱膜模塊、冷卻模塊和室外冷源組成,包括服務器冷卻回路和冷凝冷卻回路兩個循環(huán)回路。
如圖1所示,液冷機箱內(nèi)裝有低沸點的冷卻介質(zhì),電子設備浸泡在密封的柜體中,電子元件工作時產(chǎn)生的熱量會使得冷卻液溫度升高,當溫度超過飽和溫度時,冷卻液受熱沸騰形成蒸汽泡逃逸至機柜頂部的蒸汽區(qū),即在罐內(nèi)形成氣相區(qū)域,形成的蒸汽被外循環(huán)回路的冷凝管換熱器再次冷凝成液體滴落到機柜中,冷凝管中的水等其他冷卻介質(zhì)與冷卻液換熱后,由泵輸入干燥塔,與空氣進行冷卻換熱,通過循環(huán)流動將熱量傳遞出去。中科曙光硅立方液冷相變冷卻計算機采用的就是浸沒相變液冷技術,以氟化液作為冷媒,實現(xiàn)能效比PUE突破性降至1.04,節(jié)能效果顯著,此外還將CPU主頻提高15-20%,單機柜功率密度提升至160kW,部署密度也達到領先水平。

如圖2所示,在單相浸沒式液冷中,冷卻液與服務器熱源直接進行對流換熱,利用冷卻液的顯熱吸收服務器產(chǎn)生的熱量,同時通過循環(huán)泵使加熱后的冷卻液進入換熱器與溫水進行循環(huán)流動換熱,將電子元件產(chǎn)生的熱量通過換熱器傳遞給外部冷卻設備,末端外部冷卻側設備一般采用冷卻塔或干冷塔等進行自然冷卻,將熱量傳遞到環(huán)境中,整個過程中冷卻介質(zhì)沒有發(fā)生相變過程。阿里巴巴浙江仁和數(shù)據(jù)中心采用單相浸沒液冷技術,將IT設備浸沒在絕緣氟化液中,實現(xiàn)數(shù)據(jù)中心年均能源使用效率PUE不高于1.09。另一實例是網(wǎng)宿科技研發(fā)的DLC直接浸沒式液冷技術,其最大的特點在于采用自研的礦物油作為浸沒液體的冷卻液,雖然無相變換熱效率相對較低,但是成本低維護相對簡易。

可以看出,冷卻液作為浸沒式液冷系統(tǒng)的重要組成部分,應具備以下特性:
1.良好的熱物理性質(zhì),包括高熱傳導系數(shù)、高比熱容和低粘度,對于浸沒式相變液冷還應具有高汽化潛熱,即同樣的散熱量消耗更少的冷卻液。
2.單相冷卻液應具有高沸點,而相變冷卻液則應具有較低的沸點,即當電子設備溫度不是很高時,冷卻液也可以發(fā)生穩(wěn)定相變帶走熱量,以確保設備溫度保持平穩(wěn)。
3.其液態(tài)、氣態(tài)以及氣液混合時都滿足絕緣要求,與電子元件兼容,有良好化學和熱穩(wěn)定性,對環(huán)境友好,無毒無害無腐蝕易清理,且經(jīng)濟性高。目前,常見的冷卻液包括芳香族物質(zhì)、硅酸酯類、脂肪族化合物、有機硅及氟碳化合物等,其中應用廣泛的是氟化液(氟碳化合物)和礦物油(脂肪族化合物)。氟化液雖具有較好的絕緣性和流動性,穩(wěn)定不易燃,但價格昂貴。而礦物油具有價格低廉、環(huán)境友好的特性,且已經(jīng)在電器元件直接接觸式冷卻方面得到廣泛應用,如作為變壓器油等。
四、浸沒式液冷的未來發(fā)展
數(shù)字化進程的加速和“雙碳”承諾都使得綠色數(shù)據(jù)中心建設成為大勢所趨,浸沒式液冷憑借節(jié)能環(huán)保、安全低耗等核心優(yōu)勢已然具備成為未來重要冷卻技術的潛質(zhì),但全面推廣仍存較多阻力:
1.初始部署投資大,價格昂貴的冷卻液以及各種不菲的顯性和隱性成本,造成前期成本增加。
2.許多企業(yè)尚無運營高功率密度數(shù)據(jù)中心的需求,風冷尚可解決散熱問題,液冷并非首選。
3.數(shù)據(jù)中心管理人員對浸沒式液冷技術所帶來的基礎設施架構與運維體系的變革,需要一個相對漫長的適應過程。
4.液冷系統(tǒng)設計建設和測試驗收無標可依,產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量和規(guī)格參差不齊,且尚未得到長期充分的驗證,行業(yè)共識度不高。
為推進浸沒式液冷逐漸發(fā)展成熟、數(shù)據(jù)中心行業(yè)脫碳轉型,本文提出四點應用建議:
1.加速液冷行業(yè)設計建設標準的制定,完善設備安裝調(diào)試等相關規(guī)范的普及,提高原材料和配件的通用性,支持液冷技術應用示范點的推進,實現(xiàn)由點及面的推廣應用。
2.針對不同需求定制不同的制冷方案,“風冷+液冷”協(xié)同發(fā)展會更好地賦能各行各業(yè)的發(fā)展。
3.設置冷卻液回流機制,將吸收的熱量接入樓宇采暖系統(tǒng)和供水系統(tǒng),在提升數(shù)據(jù)中心的制冷效率的同時,還實現(xiàn)了余熱利用、創(chuàng)造了附加價值。
4.推動氟化液或礦物油的自主研發(fā),打破國外壟斷局面(現(xiàn)行的冷卻液大多是價格高昂的進口氟化液,比如3M的氫氟醚),降低部署成本。
綠色數(shù)據(jù)中心時代已經(jīng)到來,浸沒式液冷的發(fā)展是機遇與挑戰(zhàn)并存的過程,是曇花一現(xiàn),還是成為新基建時代數(shù)據(jù)中心的主流讓我們拭目以待。
